HighLevel’s Summer of AI 2026: What’s Actually Worth Activating
Every summer, HighLevel runs a promotion built around its AI tools. This year’s version, Summer of AI 2026, runs June 1 through August 31, 2026, and it’s bigger than a discount code. Some of it is genuinely useful for a small business running lean. Some of it is only useful if you’re already deep into HighLevel as an agency. Here’s how to tell the difference, and what to do first.
What Summer of AI 2026 actually is
Summer of AI 2026 is HighLevel’s summer-long push to get more accounts using its AI tools. It has three parts: a set of AI tools that are free for every paid account through the end of August, 30-day trials on a second set of more advanced tools, and a contest for agencies. Only the first two matter for most small business owners.
Free through August 31 — for paid accounts, no activation needed
Five tools are unlocked on every paid HighLevel account for the entire summer window, automatically. You don’t have to opt in or flip a switch. The one catch: if you’re still on the 14-day free trial, this doesn’t apply yet. You’ll need to convert to a paid plan first, and the offer unlocks the same day you do.
- Ask AI — a general assistant inside the platform for drafting and quick answers.
- AI Studio — HighLevel’s tool for building and customizing AI agents.
- Workflow AI — AI assistance inside your automation workflows.
- Funnel AI — AI-assisted funnel and page building.
- Email AI — AI support for writing marketing and follow-up emails.
If you already have a paid HighLevel account, this part costs nothing to try. Open one of these tools this week and see if it earns a permanent spot in how you work.
Available as a 30-day trial — eligibility applies
A second group of tools, called Specialized Agents and Agent Infrastructure, isn’t automatically free. It’s a 30-day trial that has to be activated, and only certain accounts qualify.
- Voice AI
- Conversation AI
- Reviews AI
- Content AI
- Prompt Optimizer
- Knowledge Base
Who qualifies
To activate the trial on an account, it needs to meet all three conditions:
- Not already on an AI Employee plan
- Wasn’t actively using the specific AI feature between March 1 and May 31, 2026
- On a paid plan, not a free trial
The 30-day clock starts the day you activate, not June 1, so there’s no rush to grab it this week. You have until August 31 to turn it on. It’s also one-time-use per account: once you’ve run the trial, you can’t re-enroll later. If you tried one of these tools briefly last year but weren’t using it in that March through May window, you still qualify.
If you keep using a tool after the trial ends, you’ll be prompted to pick a plan. Choosing the AI Growth plan ($50/month) or AI Unlimited plan ($97/month) at that point gives you another 30 days free before billing actually starts, for up to 60 days total before you pay anything. Skip that choice and usage converts automatically to pay-per-use.
Should you actually use this?
This is where Foundation, Strategy, and Execution matter. A free AI tool is an Execution-layer resource. It can only help once the layers underneath it are solid.
If your positioning and offer aren’t clear yet, an AI tool just helps you do the wrong thing faster.
Before activating anything from this list, it’s worth checking where you actually stand:
- Foundation problem: you can’t explain who you serve and why your offer is worth buying without hedging. Fix that first. None of these tools solve it.
- Strategy problem: your foundation is solid, but you don’t have a written plan for which channels you’re using and why. Get the plan before you automate around it.
- Execution problem: you know what to do, but doing it consistently depends on your energy that week. This is where these tools genuinely help, particularly Conversation AI for lead follow-up and Workflow AI for automations that already have a clear job to do.
Not sure which layer you’re actually stuck in? The Foundation Assessment will tell you in a few minutes.
How to get started this week
- If you’re already a paid HighLevel customer, log in and try one of the five free tools (Ask AI or Workflow AI are the easiest starting points).
- If you’re still on the 14-day free trial, convert to a paid plan when you’re ready. The free tools and trial eligibility both unlock the same day you do, so there’s no benefit to waiting out the trial first.
- If lead follow-up is your weak point, check whether your account is eligible for the Conversation AI or Voice AI trial before activating.
- Set a reminder for late August. Trials that started early in the summer will be ending, and you’ll want to decide whether to keep paying before billing kicks in automatically.
- Separately from the free AI tools, HighLevel also runs short pop-up windows with 50% off platform pricing for new users (as low as $48.50/month for Starter for the first three months). These windows are brief and don’t run the full summer, so worth checking current availability before you sign up if price is the deciding factor.
